Simply put copyright means the right to copy - or not.
Get permission.
Ask the creator.
The real one - not some spiritual excuse.
Most are generally generous when asked, and rightfully pissed off when not.

People who hide behind terms like appropriation, public domain and educational purposes, need to understand that photographers, artists, writers, musicians, survive by licensing the rights to display, perform or reproduce their work.

We are not on wages. We have no superannuation. We do not enjoy paid leave, smokos, coffee, taxi vouchers, fuel allowances, paper clips nor biros.

It is our choice, all we ask is that you do not abuse it.

If you do, lightning will strike repeatedly. We shall bring back the stocks, the price of ripe tomatoes will go through the roof and free entertainement for the masses will finally return - take solace therin.

Speaking of stock, you can buy the right to use any one of  literally millions of photographs from as little as $1.00. Problem solved.
